FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS The conversion of Paper documents into an archival digitized image. Format for increased desktop retrieval speed and space reduction. How does it work?
Imagine a filing system that reduces space and allows you to find documents with your computer using the same search methods that you now use. Now with digital imaging you can take data management even further. Will the confidentiality of my files be maintained?
This can depend on the size of the original hard copy (i.e. letter, legal, A4, etc). A 700MB CD can hold up to 14,000 A4 size documents in black and white (colour documents consume more space). * Documents refer to a single sided page, so a double-sided page is equal to two documents. Top^ What happens if my system crashes? Have I lost my data & files forever? No! Because all your documents are stored and accessed from your DVD/CD Rom disk(s), which are in a format of "Read Only" hence, you can not delete any information contained on the disk. Top^ Can the documents be altered or changed in any way? No! Your documents are permanently stored. In this way the files integrity and legality is kept. Once the documents have been permanently stored, they cannot be altered. * You will be able to email, print out or copy to another file etc, either a portion of, or the whole of your document. Top^ |
